Glasshouse Mountains

The Glashouse Mountains are just an hour drive up north from Brisbane. They are the remains of vulcanic activity.

Surftrip #2 to Yamba

We went for a second surf trip to Yamba, 4 hours south of Brisbane near Balina.
My little car. A Honda Civic 1986 model. Automatic and working A/C included. I had some trouble with overheating but since the fan switch is fixed it's almost fine. Cars last longer here. This old little car looks almost new from the distance.

Yamba - Back Beach

This great beach was the only one with a little bit of surf this day. It does look flat but the waves were quite good occasionally.

Shade from the rocks. It's time to go home. At the end of summer it's not that hot anymore.

Byron Bay

We went for a surf here. I mean Jeremy went. It was too rough for swimming and body surfing and the waves sucked dry. That means I got smashed on the sand the one time I tried.
Byron gets more and more touristy each time I visit it.

Finally a nice view at the lighthouse with a rainbow behind it. Good bye Byron, let's see how you will have changed the next time I'll visit you.

A nice spider on the walk around the Glasshouse mountains lookout. It wasn't as big as it looks in the photo.
