Santa Monica, Ca.
The 16 lane highway from the Airport to Santa Monica. I already hate driving in L.A. despite never having had to drive here.Ocean Avenue on Santa Monica Beach. It looks so familiar from hundreds of TV shows or movies.![image 01.jpg image](../images/travel/2012/11/01.jpg)

Boston City
An outdoor bookshop in the shopping area.Back in Boston. This time I got an apartment in Kendall right next to M.I.T. Just around the corner from Microsoft and Google. With 2 nice cafes within 100m of the building.

Boston College Football
College Football. Look at the amount of musicians here. No wonder that a lot of good bands come from the U.S.Germany could use a music tradition like that. But Germans are so scared of not doing the right thing that they become almost paralysed and often don't do anything instead.
the Cheerleaders are not just girls by the way. Although most of them are.

Chris, Geoff and James.
Football, how they call it here. It's a bit like chess. They talk a lot and give a lot of hand gestures. Then they play for 30 seconds or less and the procedure starts again. This goes on for 4 hours. If you are an impatient person, don't go to a game.![image 11.jpg image](../images/travel/2012/11/11.jpg)

Davis
A really nice Diner in Davis. Davis is a suburb near Harvard. It's very pretty and it has a lot of sub culture. Very much like Kreuzberg in Germany.![image 14.jpg image](../images/travel/2012/11/14.jpg)
Honk! 2012
This is actually the end of the march in Harvard. So this image is out of order.![image 15.jpg image](../images/travel/2012/11/15.jpg)

Didn't we all like the vuvuzelas during the world cup in South Africa. Well - they are not that bad in small dozes. I'm surprised that the spell check accepted the word vuvuzela.

One thing in restaurants that I found very strange: An entrée is a main in Boston. If you want an actual entrée you need to look for starters. I have no clue why they call a main an entrée. There are a lot of French here.
