I wanted to use a cave leading through the mountain but I decided that a concrete/brick tunnel system fits better to the theme of a water plant.
I used the meshes of the base buildings for the entrances so it makes sense that the inside of the mountain (see other image above) is a building too. It wouldn't make sense to have a cave inside a building.
This is a quick first pass of the mesh modules without a normal map and a very simple shader but they give a good impression already. I added some deco meshes from ut3 as well. Just to see if they would fit.
There are only 3 mesh modules used for the tunnels and one is just a version of another with a different floor. I made variations by using a bit of bsp for parts of the floor.
A lot of pipes and dripping water would be nice here.
